Mr McKenna prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court and the Magistrates' Court. He has experience prosecuting for the Crown Prosecution Service, the Probation Service and the Department of Work and Pensions.
When defending, Mr McKenna has a wide breadth of experience. Some of his cases have concerned allegations of serious organised crime spanning the North of England from Lancashire to Yorkshire as well as Nottinghamshire. Furthermore, his practise encompasses matters ranging from grievous bodily harm, firearms, sexual offences and Theft Act offences to identity fraud, drugs and financial offences.
Military & Courts Martial
Mr McKenna is willing to take on cases from the Armed Forces Criminal Legal Aid Authority (AFCLAA) and instructing solicitors firms. He is able to offer representation in Courts Martial proceedings.
Mr McKenna is happy to travel to any Military Court Centre in the entire United Kingdom, Germany and Cyprus.
Civil Law
Mr McKenna is instructed on a wide range of civil matters. His current range of work includes contractual disputes, personal injury and employment law, as well as family and immigration. He is available to advise on liability and/or quantum as well as drafting statements of case and representing at trial if necessary.
